SUA Elections

Hello Prospective Candidates! Check out the SUA Elections Website

On behalf of the Elections Commission, we would like to formally thank you for participating in the Student Union Assembly Elections to positions for the 2024-2025 academic year! We look forward to an equitable, fair, and transparent election cycle.

Anybody interested in running for an elected office for this year's Spring Election, taking place Monday, May 13th- Friday, May 24th, should familiarize themselves with the SUA Elections Code. Currently registered undergraduate students can get information about running for office in the SUA Elections Packet

Potential Candidates are required to attend one of the upcoming Candidate Orientation Sessions:

  • Monday, April 29th from 11:30am- 1:00pm via ZOOM
  • Tuesday, April 30th from 5:30- 7:00pm via ZOOM
  • Wednesday, May 1st 11:30am- 1:00pm via ZOOM

In addition to attending one of the candidate orientation sessions, candidates are required to fill out the Official Petition for Candidacy Form in order to gain access to the nomination petition to collect signatures to qualify for the ballot.

Individuals who wish to challenge the election process or validity of the election results may file a written complaint with the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs and Success. A complaint must include a detailed explanation of the specific action or section of the election policy being grieved, or alleged to have been violated, and the remedy requested. The time limit for filing a complaint shall expire thirty (30) working days after the election results are announced.
